About

Alisa Wunder is a classically trained composer, violinist and pianist, whose music seamlessly blends the lyrical depth of Romanticism with the clarity and innovation of contemporary expression. A graduate of the Saint Petersburg State Conservatory with a diploma in violin, she is currently continuing her studies in composition at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Munich.

Her works have been performed internationally, including at the Davos Festival in Switzerland, the Hiiumaa Homecoming Festival in Estonia, and in numerous premieres in Kostroma, Russia. Deeply committed to the cultural life of her current home, she regularly contributes to Munich-based musical projects, such as composing for the audioguide of the Rachel Ruysch exhibition at the Alte Pinakothek, and for the Children’s Theater Festival by Münchner Dionysien held at the Egyptian Museum.

Alisa is passionate about creating music that speaks to modern audiences while remaining rooted in classical traditions. Her artistic voice is especially attuned to youth-oriented projects and the reinterpretation of well-known classical works, seeking to make classical music accessible, vibrant, and emotionally resonant in today’s world. She believes that contemporary artists have the power to breathe new life into timeless repertoire—offering fresh perspectives while honoring its enduring beauty.
